The Elantra GT doesn’t just turn heads, it was also engineered to deliver a fun, sporty driving experience. Offering Hyundai’s first Driver Selectable Steering mode, the Elantra GT allows drivers to customize their driving experience by choosing between Comfort, Normal, or Sport steering modes. Delivering 148 horsepower, the Elantra GT is powered by a fuel efficient Nu 1.8L DOHC engine equipped with an aluminum alloy engine block to reduce engine weight and improve fuel economy.

Like every Hyundai, the 2013 Elantra GT incorporates the very latest in active and passive safety features. Seven airbags¹ surround the cabin, including a Driver Knee Airbag. Standard 4-wheel disc brakes with an Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD) and Brake Assist (BA) all work together to give you the ability to stop with confidence. Add to this a Vehicle Stability Management (VSM)² system with Electronic Stability Control (ESC) and Traction Control System (TCS) to help improve handling in all kinds of weather conditions.

The Nu 1.8L 16-valve engine delivers impressive fuel economy and power. This is made possible by the advanced technology including Dual Continuously Variable Valve Timing (Dual CVVT) and a lightweight aluminum block and head.

6-speed Transmission

The 6-speed manual transmission includes an Ecoshift indicator that identifies ideal shifting points to help you save fuel. The 6-speed automatic features SHIFTRONIC® manual shift mode and Active ECO System which modifies engine and transmission control to help improve fuel economy when turned on.

Seven Standard Airbags¹

The Elantra GT is equipped with seven airbags¹ to help protect passengers in the case of an accident – including dual front airbags, front seat-mounted side-impact airbags, roof-mounted side-curtain airbags and a driver knee airbag.

The Vehicle Stability Management (VSM) system comprises a network of safety features for the Elantra GT. VSM monitors and coordinates advanced safety systems like Electronic Stability Control (ESC) andTraction Control System (TCS)² , and Motor Driven Power Steering (MDPS) to help provide optimal stability and effectiveness when driving.
