The Veloster

Efficiency Never Looked So Good

The Veloster was designed to deliver an exciting drive with a higher level of efficiency. And it starts under the hood with the Gamma 1.6 litre four-cylinder engine with GDI. A gasoline-direct-injection technology that allowed Hyundai engineers to create an engine that’s powerful, fuel-efficient and with fewer emissions. The Veloster also boasts Hyundai’s first EcoShift Dual Clutch Transmission. It takes the benefits of a manual transmission, low fuel consumption and peppy performance, and blends them with automatic transmission benefits, such as a comfortable ride and smooth shifts. It’s the best of both worlds.

Bodyguard Included

The Veloster delivers fun but with an uncompromising level of safety, so you’ll always feel safe in any situation. It was built with accident prevention and avoidance in mind with features like Vehicle Stability Management system, Electronic Stability Control, Traction Control System and an Anti-lock Braking System. It also comes with six airbags and 4 wheel disc brakes for maximum personal protection. Think of it as your personal bodyguard.

Safety Highlights

Airbag Protection All Around

Every Veloster is equipped with six airbags, including dual front airbags, dual front seat-mounted side-impact airbags, and two side-curtain airbags for front and rear passengers. It’s got you covered.

The Supplemental Restraint (Airbag) System (SRS) is designed to work with the 3-point seatbelt system. The SRS deploys in certain frontal and/or side-impact conditions where significant injury is likely. The SRS is not a substitute for seatbelts, which must still be worn at all times. Children under the age of 13 should be securely restrained in the rear seat. NEVER place a child-seat in the front seat of a Hyundai vehicle.

Added safety of a driving stability system

Standard on all models is Electronic Stability Control (ESC) with Traction Control System (TCS), a cutting-edge driving stability system designed to sense oversteer and understeer conditions. During unexpected and dangerous situations, it adjusts the braking power of each wheel utilizing the Traction Control System to help restore the driver’s course.

Electronic Stability Control (ESC) and Traction Control System (TCS) are meant to enhance conscientious driving habits and are not a substitute for safe driving practices.
